Brenda Clayton, RN serves as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, and is responsible for leading all aspects of supply chain management and operations that include clinical value analysis, strategic sourcing, contract and inventory management, and distribution.
Most recently, Brenda led the design and implementation of a 135,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art centralized distribution center in Irving, Texas, which positioned Children’s Health for centralized inventory and receiving functions for the system. This distribution center has resulted in increased service levels and decreased cost through bulk buying, along with mitigating supply channel interruptions from national disasters and pandemics.
Prior to joining Children’s Health in 2011, Brenda worked for several years at Health Care Cost Solutions, where she served as an executive consultant concentrating in the areas of clinical resource management, supply chain assessments, cost containment and more.
Brenda graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Arts with a Business minor. She also earned her RN license from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing.
