Senior Vice President, Finance
Robert Fries serves as Senior Vice President of Finance for Children’s Health. In this role, Robert leads the development and execution of the system's financial strategies, designed to drive the achievement of financial goals while increasing operating performance. He oversees the preparation of budgets and creation of business plans. He collaborates with executive management team members, Board of Directors and senior leaders of Children's Health to execute financial decisions.
Robert leads our corporate finance teams responsible for developing and generating management reporting, analyzing financial trends, calculating and advising on the monetary effect of potential business decisions, and supporting corporate development efforts.
Before joining Children’s Health, Robert served as the Vice President of Children's Services Finance and Chief Financial Officer at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, a position he held from 2015 to 2020. Prior to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, he served as VP, Strategic Financial Planning & Decision Support for SCL Health, following roles at ECG Management Consultants and University of Colorado School of Medicine as the Associate Dean, Finance & Administration.
Robert is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He also holds a Master of Health Administration in Finance and Strategy from Saint Louis University.
