Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is new about the Children’s Health mobile app?

The new Children’s Health mobile app will replace the current mobile app that featured wayfinding. This new app will have all the features from the original wayfinding app along with some features from the Children’s Health MyChart patient portal. Patient families will now be able to access medical records, schedule appointments, message their care teams and more all from our custom mobile app.

  • Will this replace MyChart?

Patient families will be able to use the new Children’s Health mobile app to access the most important MyChart features, however the MyChart web portal and MyChart mobile app will still be accessible, and we will continue to promote MyChart as our patient portal. • What can the Children’s Health mobile app do?

The Children’s Health mobile app provides comprehensive support for the patient and visitor experience. It can navigate our patient families from their homes to our hospitals, guide them to the right parking garage and save their spot, provide turn-by-turn directions to amenities and locations within and close to our campuses and includes the most important MyChart features within the app. The app will also feature links to Virtual Visit and Urgent care as well as “Find a Doctor” and Health and Wellness content.

  • How do I mark a physician or place as a favorite?

You must be logged into your MyChart account to be able to save a provider as a favorite. When searching for a new doctor, tap on the “Save Provider” heart icon when viewing a provider’s profile to save to your preferred doctors list. Your saved providers will appear under the “Favorite Doctors” section, giving you easier access to your preferred physicians when searching for a new provider.

  • Why do I have to turn on Bluetooth and location services?

The mobile app must have access to your phone’s internal location awareness and Bluetooth services. We use your device’s location services to assist you in locating your healthcare provider quickly and easily, while providing real-time GPS navigation to our facilities. We also use your device’s Bluetooth services to provide turn-by-turn directions through our facilities to find things like registration desks, clinical areas, waiting rooms, restrooms, and amenities. You can choose whether to have Location Services run only while using the mobile app. Bluetooth will only be used while the app is active. Location and Bluetooth services does not collect or store personal information.

Select “Device Settings” within the mobile app to manage your Location and Bluetooth settings. Ensure Location Services and Bluetooth services are both set to “Enabled”.
