Children’s Health℠ simply could not serve all of our families without help from a generous community of friends and volunteers. We greatly appreciate the time, energy and support of former patients and parents, caring seniors, corporate leaders and many other diverse groups who have made getting involved a priority.
We consider these caring individuals part of our family, and invite you to join in the great rewards of helping children along their medical journeys. Whether you have time or creative, your contributions are most appreciated and sure to bring a smile to a young face.
The Adult Volunteer Program which includes working professionals, college students, retired persons and seniors perform a variety of roles that benefit our young patients and their families during their visit at Children’s Health.
Our Student Volunteer Program is open to students (16 years of age and older) who are interested in serving in a variety of ways by donating their time to helping patients and families at Children's Medical Center Dallas.
Our partnership with PetSmart Charities has allowed our Volunteer Pet Assisted Therapy Program to expand to provide volunteers the opportunity to serve Monday through Friday during the day and evening. Beginning in 2015, we expanded our partner organizations to include Pet Partners- one of the nation’s largest pet-handling organizations. Our volunteers serve at all of our in-patient facilities including Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Children’s Medical Center Plano, and Our Children’s House.
At Children's Health, there are many ways to get involved in groups or participate in events, and you can even host your own event.
To continue its tradition and rich history of service, the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center carries out this mission by raising funds for hospital priorities and volunteering at both campuses to help make life better for children.
