We understand a hospital visit can be overwhelming. At Children’s Health℠, we’re always striving to find ways to help patients and patient families have the best experience possible. That’s why we’ve created the Children’s Health patient guidebook, a concise guide to our services and amenities at our Dallas and Plano campuses, visitor resources, frequently asked questions and much more.
The guidebook includes frequently asked questions, a discharge checklist, a medicine tracker, information about our MyChart patient portal and instructions for ordering food to go online from childrens.Nutrislice.com.
Use the guidebook to ensure you’re familiar with important information such as patient and family rights and responsibilities, privacy information, a discharge checklist, guidance on administering antibiotics safely and billing and payment options.
Learn more about hospital amenities
We know that having a child in the hospital means you don’t have any extra time on your hands for errands. So we have multiple Chase Bank automatic teller machines (ATMs) located throughout the Dallas and Plano campuses.

At Children’s Health, we have several places available to eat for the patient, family and visitors.
Gift shops and retail
Our gift shops sell age-appropriate gifts for children, as well as Mylar (latex-free) balloons, magazines, books, newspapers, games, snacks and personal items.
The Children's Health courtyard
The Children’s Medical Center Dallas location includes a 17,000 square-foot courtyard. It is located next to a full-service Starbucks and expanded Butterfly Atrium. The primary function of this space is to reduce stress and anxiety while promoting overall well-being for staff, patients, and visitors at Children’s Health.
At Children’s, we offer on-site pharmacies at several of our locations for convenient on-site prescriptions.
Playrooms provide a fun and safe place for patients and families to get out of their room to enjoy playtime. Our Dallas and Plano hospitals provide several playrooms, convenient to the families and appropriate to various age groups.
Family Resource Library
Our Family Resource Libraries provide an inviting place for patients and families to seek information about a diagnosis or treatment, or to relax with leisure material.

Children’s Health is in compliance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). All buildings are wheelchair accessible.
