When your child becomes ill or experiences something emotionally overwhelming at school, you want to get them the care they need when they need it. That’s why Children’s Health℠ is offering your student care at school.
From minor illnesses and injuries to mental health concerns, School-Based Programs by Children’s Health Virtual Care provides a full spectrum of solutions for you and your family. It’s a convenient option for care that most of the time allows you to stay and work and your child to stay at school.
Please note: Children’s Health is working to get our School-Based Programs in more schools across North Texas. Please contact your school nurse or counselor to see if your school offers these programs.
TCHATT
TCHATT is a no cost behavioral health program available to all public ISDs and charter schools, from early education through high school. Services may include time limited virtual therapy, case management, and psychiatric consultation. Children’s Health and UT Southwestern cover nine counties in DFW including: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman, and Rockwall. To find out if TCHATT is available at your campus, discuss with your school counselor. If your child is in a mental health crisis, please call 911.
