Matthew P. Moore

Senior Vice President, Government and Community Relations and Chief of Staff
Matt Moore serves as Senior Vice President, Government and Community Relations and Chief of Staff at Children’s Health. In his role, he is responsible for developing and leading the implementation of strategy, relationship building and public policy engagement with federal, state and local policymakers and stakeholders to further the Children's Health mission to make life better for children.
Under Matt’s leadership, Children’s Health has been a leader in advancing public policies that improve access to health care for children and youth in Texas, including legislation that expands access to school-based telemedicine and tele-behavioral health, and legislation that makes medical care more accessible for children in foster care.
Before joining Children’s Health in 2012, Matt served as government affairs director for Susan G. Komen’s national headquarters, where he led the breast cancer organization’s federal government relations program and advised the organization’s affiliates on state-level public policy activities. In addition, Matt spent a decade with the National Center for Policy Analysis, a free-market public policy research institute, where he authored 30 policy reports and participated in hundreds of print, radio and television interviews on topics ranging from Social Security to education policy.
Matt holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Public Relations from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
