The Dallas Cystic Fibrosis Care and Teaching Center manages the outpatient and inpatient care of approximately 400 infants, children and adolescents.
Children with chronic respiratory diseases that are caused by underlying digestive issues often have complex medical needs. The Multidisciplinary Pediatric Aerodigestive Center (MPAC) is here to help these children. We focus on disorders of the airway or voice, swallowing disorders, sleep apnea and other related problems.
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) at Children’s is a comprehensive test for children of all ages with disorders of the respiratory system. More than 1,200 procedures a month are performed for patients with asthma, cystic fibrosis, exercise intolerance, sickle cell disease, neuro-muscular disease, rare restrictive lung diseases, lung disease secondary to childhood cancers, heart disease and organ transplantation.
