The GENder Education and Care, Interdisciplinary Support (GENECIS) Program at Children’s Health aims to help children and adolescents with gender dysphoria grow into happy, healthy, and confident adults.
Pediatric growth disorders are problems that prevent children from achieving normal height, weight or sexual maturity. Just because your child is not developing at the same rate as peers is usually not a cause for concern.
The pediatric thyroid disease program at Children's Health includes a multidisciplinary approach including endocrinologist, otolaryngologist and other pediatric specialists.
Obesity is growing at epidemic proportions in children. Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show the percentage of children aged 6 to 11 years in the United States who were obese increased from 7% in 1980 to nearly 18% in 2012.
