Biography
Piper Merrill, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Children's Health℠. She provides screenings, treatments and education to support her patients. Merrill has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing complicated and common medical conditions. She offers well-child exams and shares her expertise through education about the importance of good nutrition, sleep and mental health. Merrill is interested in self-care and preventive models for mental and emotional health. She is also passionate about brain and spine health, nutrition and exercise.
Piper earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“I am passionate about teaching and helping parents develop children who understand the significance and value of good health; mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually,” says Merrill. “Good health doesn’t just happen. It takes intentionality and discipline, which are great skills to develop in children and young adults for a lifetime.”
Piper believes that helping children grow into healthy young adults is a privilege. She’s a lifelong learner and continuously looks for ways to improve personally and professionally.
In her free time, Merrill stays active in her church. She also enjoys dancing and staying active. “I take ballroom dancing and hope to compete in the next several years. I love the outdoors, hiking, working out and nature itself.” She also enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
