Development and Validity of a Spanish Verbal Memory Test for Children
Study ID: STU-2020-0034
The purpose of this research study is to develop and norm a new word-list learning and memory test for Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latinx children (ages 6 to 17 years) living in the united States. if eligible, children participating in the study will be asked to complete four brief cognitive measures during a one-time face-to-face session and a verbal memory test survey. Parents/legal guardians will be asked to complete three forms while they wait. The entire visit (i.e., consent process, testing, and supplemental forms) should take about 90 minutes.
1) Develop a test that is ecologically valid and reliably evaluates verbal learning and memory in Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latinx children in the u.S. 2) Derive a normative sample that is representative of the Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latinx pediatric population in the u.S.
