KEY PROGRAMS
Pediatric Cleft Lip and Palate Program
As American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association experts, we have one of the largest cleft teams nationwide that performs and specializes in cleft-related surgery. When a child is born, we will closely monitor their feeding schedule and weight gain, providing dental care, psychosocial support and speech therapy from certified speech language pathologists (SLPs).
Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery
Our expert team provides diagnosis and treatment for children of any age with any reconstructive need. Our surgeons have expertise in all aspects of pediatric plastic surgery, including cleft lip and palate, craniofacial conditions, vascular anomalies and hand surgery. Our team performs more pediatric plastic and cleft surgery procedures than anyone in the region.
Pediatric Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Program
We are one of the few centers in the country that can treat injuries throughout the entire peripheral nervous system, which includes all nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Our surgeons can repair nerves in complex areas like the face, hands and extremities so that kids can get back to normal function and movement. We also commonly treat injuries to the brachial plexus, a network of nerves that supplies movement and feeling from the shoulder down to the fingertips.
Congenital and General Pediatric Hand Surgery
Treating everything from dislocations and fractures to infections and congenital conditions, our pediatric hand surgery program in Plano and Dallas treats hundreds of patients each month for first-time visits, surgical intervention and rehabilitation and therapy.
22q Deletion Syndrome Program
The 22q Team Program at Children’s Health℠ is the first of its kind in North Texas, providing multidisciplinary care to patients with 22q Deletion Syndrome. Children’s Health conducts a combination of clinical assessments and lab tests so we can confirm the chromosomal differences, offer a diagnosis and begin to identify which applicable symptoms present themselves.
