I love interacting with kids and seeing the excitement they have when they come back to see me and the plan of care has been successful.
Karen Pritzker

“I love interacting with kids and seeing the excitement they have when they come back to see me and the plan of care has been successful,” says Karen. “When they are able to stay dry, they have a big smile on their face when you open the door. We can make such a difference in their lives and help build their confidence by just addressing this one problem. Incontinence has such a huge impact on the child and the child’s family.”

Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing, her Master of Science in nursing and her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification at Texas Woman’s University. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of many professional organizations, including the American Urological Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Urology Nurse Specialists and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Karen has served as a co-investigator on a number of Institutional Review Board (IRB) studies evaluating treatments for pediatric urological conditions, including pediatric voiding dysfunction. She is a contributing author on many articles and book chapters, including the Textbook of Clinical Pediatric Urology. She is a frequent invited lecturer and has presented at Texas Woman’s University and University of Texas at Arlington. She also serves as a preceptor for nurses and nurse practitioners in training.

In her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, two children and new grandson. She is active in her church and also enjoys gardening and spending time with her horse, Titan.
