Dr. Barth earned his medical degree from the University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio. He completed his internship and residency at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, and did fellowship training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University.
Dr. Barth’s clinical and research interests include advanced and therapeutic pediatric endoscopy, pancreatic and biliary diseases, endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding and treatment of complex esophageal strictures.

Dr. Barth has won the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) Endoscopy Prize multiple times, and is a fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
