Biography

Yu Ting, M.D., is a pediatric hospital medicine specialist at Children’s Health℠. With a special interest in breastfeeding medicine, lactation support, and patient and family education, Dr. Ting is responsible for managing hospitalized children's medical treatment.

I enjoy treating a wide range of medical diagnoses, and I appreciate the collaboration with other doctors and healthcare professionals in our efforts to provide the best care possible for patients.

Dr. Ting received her medical degree from the Heersink School of Medicine at the University of Alabama School at Birmingham and completed her residency at the University of Louisville. She is a member of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and is double board certified in both Pediatric Hospital Medicine and General Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Ting has been involved in various committees and task forces and works on initiatives related to performance improvement. She has delivered oral and poster presentations on topics ranging from measles to neonatal herpes to infantile botulism. 

“I enjoy treating a wide range of medical diagnoses, and I appreciate the collaboration with other doctors and healthcare professionals in our efforts to provide the best care possible for patients,” says Dr. Ting. “Most of all, I love watching children recover and get better. It is a privilege to build relationships with families and play a part in their children's healing process.”

Dr. Ting grew up in Singapore and has two boys. In her free time, she enjoys photography, traveling, trying new cuisines and learning about different cultures. She also enjoys art, architecture and reading.
