Biography

Dr. Korgun Koral received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Medical School in Ankara, Turkey in 1992; and completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency training at Ankara University in 1996. He completed fellowships at UCLA (Pediatric Radiology), Children’s Memorial Hospital/ Northwestern University (Pediatric Vascular and Interventional Radiology) and UCLA (Neuroradiology) between September 1997 and December 2001. Dr. Koral has been working as a staff radiologist at Children’s Health since January 2002.  He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2007; and to Professor in 2014 in Department of Radiology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. 

Dr. Koral’s research interests include imaging of pediatric brain tumors and imaging of pediatric head and neck.  He has been the recipient of the Golden Apple Award given by the radiology residents in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
