Biography
Shilpa Shukla, M.D. is a pediatric hematology and oncology physician at Children's Health and an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern. She specializes in treating pediatric and adolescent blood disorders and cancer, with a particular expertise in sickle cell disease.
Dr. Shukla earned her medical degree at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She received advanced training through a pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Shukla enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing and she finds joy in cooking, creative storytelling.
