Biography

Brad Tate, M.D., is a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Health℠ with expertise in pediatric hospital medicine. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Children’s Medical Center Plano.

Dr. Tate earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). There, he continued his training to complete an internship, pediatrics residency and partial pediatric critical care fellowship.

Dr. Tate has practiced as a Pediatric Hospitalist, a pediatrician trained to care for children during their hospital stays, since 2008. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and was affiliated with Children’s Health Medical Group, where he served as Medical Director of Hospitalists from 2015 to 2021.

Today, Dr. Tate practices at Children’s Medical Center Plano. He is also active on the Plano Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council and serves as the primary handler for Coca-Cola, a beloved facility dog. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Camp John Marc and the Collin County Child Advocacy Center.

A longtime Plano resident, Dr. Tate is proud to make life better for children and families who live north of Dallas. He enjoys scuba diving, wakeboarding and snowboarding with his family.
