Biography
Mahreen Tahir Ahmad, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant in Cardiac Critical Care at Children’s Health℠. She is dedicated to caring for patients with congenital heart disease throughout every stage of their journey—from birth through surgery, ICU recovery, and follow-up care.
“I value the privilege of caring for patients with congenital heart disease across the continuum, while supporting families as they learn to navigate the complexities of their child’s care,” Ahmad says.
Ahmad completed her Physician Assistant training at Rutgers School of Health Professions.
Her clinical interests include acute heart failure management, post-operative care, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring new team members. In addition to her clinical role, she serves as the Heart Center’s APP Wellbeing Ambassador, promoting collaboration and support among her colleagues.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and cats.
