Cancer
Pediatric hematologists and oncologists, who are all faculty members at UT Southwestern Pediatric Group, provide care for more than 1,000 new patients each year, making the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders the largest childhood cancer and blood center in North Texas.
Cardiology and Heart Surgery
With nearly 13,000 outpatient clinic encounters and more than 900 inpatient admissions in 2017 alone, Children’s Medical Center Dallas leads the way in pediatric cardiac care and ranks among the country’s elite programs in outcomes.
Diabetes and Endocrinology
As one of the largest multidisciplinary endocrinology programs in the nation, we offer comprehensive evaluation, treatment and management of pediatric obesity and diabetes through our clinical programs.
Gastroenterology and GI Surgery
As one of only five hospitals in the nation offering a Therapeutic Endoscopy Program complete with endoscopic ultrasound, the GI program at Children’s Health provides a number of advanced procedures. From ERCP and stricture dilation to single balloon enteroscopy and video capsule endoscopy, these procedures allow for minimally invasive biopsies and treatment of abnormalities in the chest, abdomen and pelvis.
Neonatology
As a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), we provide the highest level of care possible to critically-ill newborns. Our 47-bed NICU serves as a regional referral center for babies across North Texas and beyond, giving the smallest patients access to a full range of advanced neonatal therapies and more than 50 pediatric subspecialties.
Nephrology
As the largest pediatric nephrology clinic in North Texas and one of the biggest in the United States, we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive kidney care that addresses all aspects of a child’s growth and well-being. A full team of experts are on hand to support children and families as they battle childhood kidney disease.
Neurology and Neurosurgery
We offer the highest level of care to treat any pediatric neurologic disorder. This is the only pediatric program in North Texas able to offer innovative treatments and procedures including open microsurgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, MRI-guided laser ablation and endovascular neurosurgery.
Orthopedics
We're ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best orthopedic programs in the United States. The orthopedic service is provided by Children’s Health and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Pulmonology
Trained in bronchoscopy, home ventilator management, pulmonary function testing and sleep-related disorders, our pulmonology team treats a broad range of respiratory disorders. As members of the Cystic Fibrosis Therapeutics Development Network, we participate in leading research and provide our patients access to cutting-edge studies.
Urology
The urology department at Children’s Medical Center Dallas is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for children with urologic conditions. Specialty programs include voiding dysfunction, male and female genital anomalies, kidney stones, anomalies detected prenatally, neurogenic bladder, disorders of sexual development, vaginal reconstruction and minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
