Biography

Yuri Cook, M.D., is a Pediatrician at Children’s Health℠. He has a special interest in childhood growth and development and how lifestyle habits impact a child’s physical and mental health. He sees caring for the kids in his community as an honor and a privilege. 

“My philosophy is to safeguard the health of children so they can experience and enjoy this magical (and far too fleeting) time of their lives,” he said. “Simultaneously, we encourage and assist parents in gradually developing and shaping children physically and mentally into the next generation of productive adults.” 

Dr. Cook earned his medical degree and completed his internship at Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital. He has been a pediatrician for more than 25 years. 

Outside of work, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle, his stepson Noah and the family dogs Oscar and June. He also enjoys reading all genres but especially history and fantasy/science fiction, taking music lessons and bike riding.
