Biography

Santiago Alvarez-Arango, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in drug allergies to antibiotics, anesthetics, insulin, biologics, chemotherapy agents, and other medications, as well as vaccines.

Dr. Alvarez is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

When he’s not at work, Dr. Alvarez enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, working out, and playing squash and pickleball. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including skiing and climbing.
