Biography

Natalie Pounds, M.D., is a Pediatrician at Children’s Health℠ with special interests in newborn care and pediatric hematology. She enjoys caring for children throughout every stage of development while building meaningful connections with their families.

“I absolutely love the long-lasting relationships I’m able to form with the patients and families that I have the privilege of caring for,” Dr. Pounds says.

Dr. Pounds earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at UT Southwestern. 

“My fellowship training gives me a unique perspective when caring for children with hematology-related conditions in a general pediatrics setting,” she says.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Pounds enjoys water-skiing, running, traveling and spending time with her family.
