Biography

Harini Suresh, M.D., is a Pediatric Psychiatrist at Children’s Health℠ and an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern. She specializes in caring for children and adolescents with ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders. Her clinical interests also include South Asian mental health and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

“I am passionate about approaching each patient and family through a holistic lens – considering a child’s psychological functioning, family functioning, cultural factors and medical co-morbidities,” Dr. Suresh says. She recommends treatment that blends lifestyle recommendations, psychotherapy and medication management based on each patient’s individual needs.

Dr. Suresh earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern. She completed her Psychiatry residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Suresh’s research interests include South Asian mental health, college mental health and first-episode psychosis.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Suresh enjoys hiking, traveling, and being a patron of the arts.
