Biography

Elizabeth Adams, M.D., is a primary care physician board certified in pediatrics. She cares for children and families at Children’s Health℠, providing preventive and acute sick care for neonates, children and adolescents. Dr. Adams has a clinical interest in promoting healthy lifestyles from an early age, preventive medicine and mental health concerns. “It’s important to me to foster lasting relationships with patients and their families, ones that build trust and partnership in supporting kids’ needs and helping them grow and flourish.”

Dr. Adams

Dr. Adams is a lifelong learner and enjoys the challenge of medicine. She recognizes that no two patients are the same, meaning no two diagnoses or treatments are identical. That’s why she’s passionate about getting to know each patient and developing individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Adams earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her residency at UTSW Children's Medical Center and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Adams graduated University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in the top quartile of her class. While in college at Texas A&M University, she was a University Honors and Foundation Honors Scholar and graduated with honors coursework. She also received the President’s Endowed Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship awarded at Texas A&M University and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Dr. Adams collaborated with a group of other residents to translate a daytime educational curriculum into nighttime education opportunities. She also presented a case for a morbidity and mortality conference discussing the importance of critical thinking, questioning inherent cognitive biases and appropriate prioritization of clinical responsibilities.

She is a mother to four boys; the youngest are identical twins. Dr. Adams does her best to combine medical knowledge with practical parenting advice. Patients describe her as patient and realistic.

She loves spending time outdoors in her free time. She also enjoys running, yoga, baking, piano, and attending church.
