  • Books and magazines

A good book can offer a magical escape to help a child, or anyone in the family, pass long hours in a hospital bed or waiting area. The Family Resource Libraries accepts donations of new books for children, teens and adults in English and Spanish.

New books, if we do not already have them, are added into our collections. If we do already have a donated title, it is added to our bookmobile and our One-For-The-Road carts.

    • Our bookmobiles visit the waiting areas to offer books to patients and their families who may be waiting for a family member to recover after a procedure or surgery.
    • One-For-The-Road is available for patients and their families to find one book to take home with them when they leave.

  • School supply donations

As summer travels by in a lighting flash, soon it will be time to head out to purchase new school supplies. At Children’s Health we have many patients that will not be able to shop for supplies along with caregivers that will have a difficult time purchasing supplies due to medical bills and other necessities.

The School Service Department at Children’s Health is in need of community members or groups to donate school supplies for our wonderful patients, whom will be going back to school very soon. These supplies will help patients and their families be better prepared for the upcoming school year.
