The medical staff at Children's Health℠ includes 4 board certified/board eligible pediatric rheumatologists. They monitor the progress of approximately 1,000 pediatric rheumatology patients a year. There are only 270 pediatric board-certified rheumatologists in the country.

The rheumatologists work in collaboration with UT Southwestern, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and Baylor to form the Center for Pediatric Rheumatology, aiding in the treatment of pediatric rheumatology patients.

Marilynn Punaro

Marilynn Punaro, M.D., is the director of pediatric rheumatology at Children's Health℠. Dr. Punaro earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. After completing her internship and residency in pediatrics at Children's Health, she completed a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Children's Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Punaro is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include juvenile arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and vasculitis.

Julie Fuller

Julie M. Fuller, M.D., is a pediatric rheumatologist at Children's Health℠ in Plano. Dr. Fuller earned her medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Children's Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include dermatomyositis.

Lorien Nassi

Lorien Nassi, M.D., is a pediatric rheumatologist at Children's Health℠ in Dallas. She earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center and completed her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Children's Health and UT Southwestern. Dr. Nassi is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include systemic lupus erythematosus.

Katie Stewart

Katie Stewart, M.D., is a pediatric rheumatologist at Children's Health℠. Dr. Stewart earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and she completed her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in rheumatology at Children's Health and UT Southwestern. She is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology, and her clinical interests include localized scleroderma.

Tracey Wright, M.D.

Tracey Wright

Tracey Wright, M.D., is a pediatric rheumatologist at Children's Health℠. Dr. Wright earned her medical degree at MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine at Drexel University in Pennsylvania. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics, as well as a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology, at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Wright is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include relate to pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus and improving outcomes for children and adolescents with this disease.
