Afolabi, Folashade

Folashade Afolabi, M.D., works in pediatric pulmonology at Children's Health℠. Dr. Afolabi earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she also completed her residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine. She is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Caraballo, Michelle

Dr. Michelle Caraballo is a pediatric pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist at Children’s Health℠. She earned her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency at UT Southwestern Medical School. She then completed fellowships in pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine at the University of Colorado. Dr. Caraballo's interests include asthma, complicated pneumonia, sleep-related breathing disorders, narcolepsy and sleep-related infant death. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, and Pediatrics.

Copenhaver, Steven

Steven Copenhaver, M.D., is a pulmonologist at Children's Health℠. Dr. Copenhaver earned his medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina, as well as a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Andrew Scott Gelfand, M.D., is a pediatric pulmonologist at Children's Health℠. Dr. Gelfand earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he also completed his internship and residency in pediatrics. He went on to complete fellowships in pediatric pulmonology and in immunology and respiratory disease at the University of Colorado and National Jewish Health in Denver. Dr. Luckett earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in pediatrics. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Columbia University in New York. Martinez-Fernandez, Tanya

Tanya Martinez-Fernandez, M.D., is a pediatric pulmonologist at Children's Health℠. Dr. Martinez-Fernandez earned her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where she also completed her internship and residency in pediatrics and was accepted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After a residency in pediatrics at Orlando Health in Florida, she completed a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Connecticut. Naqvi, Syed

Syed Naqvi, M.D., is part of the Sleep Medicine program at Children’s Health℠. Dr. Naqvi earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Pakistan. After his residency in pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York, he completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Kings County Hospital in New York, as well as fellowships in sleep medicine and pediatric pulmonology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Naqvi is board-certified in pediatrics and sleep medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. His clinical interests include narcolepsy, non-invasive ventilation, respiratory diseases and sleep-related breathing disorders.

Rao, Devika

Devika Rao, M.D., is a pediatric pulmonologist at Children's Health℠. Dr. Rao earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
