Alex Kane

Alex Kane, M.D., is the director of pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery at Children's Health. He also serves as the director of residency education in Pediatric Plastic Surgery, where he trains new physicians in pediatric surgical procedures. Dr. Kane received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire and completed a general surgery residency and a plastic surgery residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He continued his training with two fellowships – a cleft lip, palate, and craniofacial surgery fellowship at Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, and a fellowship in craniofacial imaging at the National Laboratory for Diagnostic Radiology Research in Maryland. Dr. Kane is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Christopher Derderian

Christopher Derderian, M.D., is a member of the Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery team at Children's Health℠. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Boston University, where he completed a combined undergraduate and medical school curriculum. He also completed a combined residency in general surgery and plastic surgery at New York University Medical Center in 2010. Dr. Derderian then continued his training with a fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania and received his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2012.

James Seaward

James Seaward, M.D., is a pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon at Children’s Health℠. His clinical practice is exclusively pediatric and includes general pediatric plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and craniofacial surgery including minimally invasive techniques, vascular anomalies and trauma reconstruction. Dr. Seaward graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School, and completed his residency in the United Kingdom. Dr. Seaward is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is an active member of the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association.
