At Children's Health, it is our goal to make life better for children. We have several experts who treat and work with children who have plastic and craniofacial necessities.
Meet Your Plastics & Craniofacial Team
The Fogelson Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Center at Children’s Health℠ treats patients with common and complex pediatric reconstructive needs. The plastic surgery team includes:
- Pediatric surgeons
- Physician assistants
- Speech therapists
- Medical assistants
- Imaging scientists
This multidisciplinary team strives to provide the best possible care for your child with the goal of helping them look and feel better, and live normal lives.
Our program consists of three dedicated subspecialty programs, each taking a team approach to care. This approach includes specialists from many other divisions within the hospital to provide comprehensive care for our patients, often addressing all of their needs in one place, during a single visit.
The Cleft and Craniofacial teams treat all congenital or acquired problems affecting the skull and face including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, craniofacial microsomia and ear reconstruction. Our cleft and craniofacial team is composed of multiple specialists and is fully accredited by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association’s Committee on Accreditation of Teams.
The Hand Surgery team treats all congenital and acquired problems affecting the hands, wrist and forearm, including peripheral nerve injury.
The Vascular Anomalies team treats infantile hemangioma, capillary malformations (also known as port-wine stains), venous malformation, lymphatic malformation and arteriovenous malformation, in addition to rarer vascular anomalies.
In addition to these three multidisciplinary groups, we also provide general plastics services.
