Alan Farrow-Gillespie

Alan Farrow-Gillespie, M.D., is the director of the Pediatric Pain Management Center at Children’s Health℠. Dr. Farrow-Gillespie earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed his internship at David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California. After completing his residency in anesthesiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California, he completed fellowships in pain management at the University of Sidney in Australia. in anesthesiology at the National Health Service in England, in pain management at Stanford University Hospital in California and in pediatric anesthesiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty certification in pain medicine.

Thomas Spain

Thomas Spain, M.D., is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Health℠. He is board-certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and hospice and palliative care. Dr. Spain earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He then completed an internship in anesthesiology and residencies in anesthesiology and orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Spain also completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and one in pain management at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Spain is actively involved in medical missions, including trips to India, Haiti, Belize and Honduras.

Deryk Lee Walsh MD

Deryk Walsh

Deryk Walsh, M.D., is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Health℠. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Walsh then completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Walsh’s practice is focused primarily on pediatric pain management, and he is an an attending physician at the Headache Clinic. He is board-certified in anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, and hospice and palliative care.
