By Your Side

The physicians in the Department are board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. They are also members of the faculty at the UT Southwestern Medical Center. This means that they not only stay up to date with the latest innovations in the care of children with hearing problems, but they also are actively involved in actually developing them.

Your child will be cared for by a team made up of an audiologist, speech-language pathologist, teachers and, when needed, psychologists. Batteries of tests are given by an audiologist and speech-language pathologist with specialized experience in treating auditory disorders that occur at any age. Our pediatric audiologists are skilled in the evaluation of newborns and use state-of-the art procedures to provide a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of infants at risk for hearing loss.
