Complex Care Medical Services Providers
Michelle Thomas, M.D., is Medical Director of the Complex Care Medical Services group at Children’s Health℠.
She earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School and completed her Pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
Dr. Thomas has also worked as a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Health, taking care of children with acute conditions and medically fragile children, including children who required chronic ventilation.
Erica Vance, RN, CPNP-PC
Erica has worked at Children’s Health℠ since 2006. She was previously a Care Coordinator in the Complex Care Medical Services group and a patient and family educator in the pulmonary unit.
Erica earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University with a Pediatric Primary Care focus. Erica earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University.
Erica is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Katherine Maddox, M.D., is a pediatrician with the Complex Care Medical Services group at Children’s Health℠. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Maddox earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School. And she completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Maddox has received the Educational Innovation Award for developing communication skills training and the Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas White Hat Award.
Her clinical and research interests include caring for children with special health care needs and communication skills training in medical education.
