Child Life Team
We recognize the need to care for both the physical and emotional health of our young patients and their families. Members of our Child Life staff provide age-appropriate information to help you and your child prepare emotionally for upcoming procedures and surgery. More on Child Life >
Language & Interpreter Services
Children's Health wants to simplify communication and ease the language barrier between families and staff. If your family does not speak English, communicating effectively with nurses and doctors about your child’s illness can add to an already stressful situation. Pastoral & Spiritual Care
When your child is hospitalized or receiving care for a chronic condition, it can be spiritually and emotionally trying for everyone. We want you to find the spiritual comfort you seek when you’re facing so many concerns. Just because a child is in the hospital, doesn’t mean he should miss out on the opportunities which attending school provides. When your child's life is interrupted by an illness or hospital stay, regular classroom instruction gives him a normalizing activity which also helps him stay on track academically. Our trained social workers help our guests find emotional, social, clinical, physical and financial support services.
