Stay connected to Children’s Health!
The Musculoskeletal Infection (MSI) team is happy to share that teammate, Eduardo Lindsay, successfully culminated a clinical research study led by Lawson Copley, M.D., by being a primary author on a publication in a highly respected academic journal last year. The manuscript titled: “Seasonal Variation and Weather Changes Related to the Occurrence and Severity of Acute Hematogenous Osteomyelitis in Children”, published in the October 2017 issue of The Journal of Pediatric Infectious Disease (JPIDS).
Eduardo also presented an abstract for another clinical research study, led by Dr. Copley, as a poster presentation at the American Academy of Pediatrics 2017 annual meeting in Chicago. The poster was titled “Evaluation and Management of Deep Venous Thrombosis Associated with Acute Hematogenous Osteomyelitis in Children.”
We are very proud of Eduardo’s contributions towards highlighting our work on children with musculoskeletal infection on a national level and sharing our important findings with the academic and medical community. Congratulations, Eduardo!
Eduardo and his many accomplishments will be further highlighted in next quarter’s Research Advocate newsletter.
