Children’s Medical Center focuses on a family-friendly environment to help make your visits as convenient and comfortable as possible. You may find the following list helpful; it tells you exactly what we offer and where to find things on our Dallas campus.

The librarians at our Family Resource Libraries can help you find whatever resources you need – whether online, in medical journals or from academic research papers.

Friends and family who visit patients at Children’s Health like knowing there is a convenient place to go where they can find the appropriate gift or card, to cheer up a young patient – or even to find reading material, puzzles or personal items.

In addition to convenient gift shops and dining options on the campus, Children’s Medical Center is conveniently located near several retail establishments, should any needs arise during your child’s stay.

Security

The security department has uniformed officer patrols on duty in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Emergency call boxes are provided throughout the parking garages at Children’s.

Wheelchair and Disabled Access

Children’s Health℠ is in compliance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). All buildings are wheelchair accessible. There are wagons and wheelchairs for patients and their family members to use while at Children’s Medical Center.

Your Room at Children's

Parents or legal guardians are welcome to stay 24 hours a day with their child or they may also assign one adult friend or family member to stay overnight in their place. To make this more comfortable, each child’s room has a recliner, sleeping chair or sofa.
