Funnyatrics Clown Program

Share:

Clowns are a bright, colorful symbol of fun, and providing fun to brighten our patients’ days is a big part of what the Funnyatrics Clown Program at Children’s Health℠ is designed to do. The program was launched in 2005, thanks to generous donations from families who truly believe that laughter can be the best medicine.

These aren’t your typical circus clowns. Rather, a team of two specially trained therapeutic clownsare present five days a week at the Children’s main campus, and once a week at the Plano campus. They visit all inpatient floors and clinics in the hospital.

Children's Health has a team of 8 clowns, specially trained to interact with children in a hospital setting. Their goal is simple – to uplift the environment of the hospital and to empower children through laughter.

Ask us if you want to know more about how the clowns operate and when they’ll be coming to a room near you. Your care team is always available to answer questions and provide more information.
