Avoid a Medicaid or CHIP coverage gap

Continuous Medicaid or CHIP coverage, or automatic renewals, ended on March 31, 2023.

You can avoid a lapse in coverage if your child is eligible with a few simple steps.

  1. Update your contact information

Go to YourTexasBenefits.com to update your phone number, email, mailing address or other contact information.

  1. Check your email or mail

If you have a Your Texas Benefits account, your renewal notice will be emailed to you. If you do not have an account, you will receive a letter in the mail. It will be in a yellow envelope that says Action Required in red.

  1. Complete your renewal form

If you have received a renewal form through mail, please fill it out and return it as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code provided below and log into your account to complete the renewal process online.

If you need help completing the renewal form, please call 2-1-1 and pick Option 2.
