The Neuro-Concussion program offers comprehensive care by using the latest evidence based practice and a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Tonia Sabo, M.D., is a pediatric neurologist board certified in Headache Medicine who leads the Neuro-Concussion program. The program works closely with the Sports Medicine team at Children’s Health Andrews Institute to treat sports related concussions.

The team of pediatric physiatrists under the direction of Robert Rinaldi, M.D., specialize in physical rehabilitation after an injury to teach healing muscles and nerves to work again. Physiatrists are trained to diagnose and treat patients with a tailored treatment plan to restore or improve functions such as speech and language or movement. The physiatrist works with a team of professionals who help patients with specific activities, such as occupational or speech therapy.

Serving children in the North Texas area for more than 20 years, our program is led by Andrew Gelfand, MD, pediatric pulmonologist. We have a renowned team of pulmonologists who provide care for pediatric patients who are on a ventilator and/or are trach dependent. Patients are typically those who have sustained a neurologic or traumatic injury or have immature lungs which have affected their ability to breathe.

Dr. Khoury does not treat patients at this location.
