Children’s Medical Center Plano extends the world-class service of our system to the growing number of families living in and moving to North Texas. Located at 7601 Preston Road, the campus sits on a 155-acre site with green space preserved to provide an environment of healing and tranquility for patients and families. The medical staff includes specialists from UT Southwestern and community-based physicians, who together provide a vast base of talent and knowledge.

Hospital and Emergency Care
The inpatient portion of Children's Medical Center Plano features 72 beds, eight state-of-the-art operating rooms, 24/7 emergency services, and full-service laboratory, pharmacy and imaging services. Children’s Medical Center Plano was designed with patients and families in mind, down to the sparkle in the floor and the large kinetic sculpture hanging in our main atrium.
With the leaves of a 100+ year-old oak tree blowing in the breeze, horses grazing in the adjacent field and a stream bubbling through our outdoor patio, the soothing feeling of nature is all around you at Children’s Medical Center Plano. Patient rooms, family rooms and waiting areas all include large windows that allow for a view of the outside and for the natural light to spill through the halls.
The campus also features a robust family resource library, where patients and families have access to consumer health information, children's literature plus leisure and research material. In addition, we offer highly trained child life specialists to help with any other needs, designated playrooms just for kids, translation services, pastoral care and guest relations services.

ATM
A Bank of America automatic teller machine (ATM) is located in the main hospital lobby on the 1st floor. It is to the right of the Admitting department.

Guest relations representatives help your child, family and visitors when questions arise. They work as a link between healthcare providers, patients and patient families. They can also provide campus directions and information on local and hospital amenities. You can recognize guest relations representatives by their navy blue blazers.
Dining
The following dining options are for families and guests of patients. Patients staying overnight may order from room service.
Plano Café
Monday – Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
The Plano Café consists of a salad bar, sandwich bar and different specials of the day. Snacks, soft drinks and desserts are also available, with healthy options as well.
Coffee Shop
Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
The Plano Coffee Shop, which serves Starbucks coffee, is located on the first floor of the main hospital atrium, near the information desk.
Nourishment Areas
Inpatient floors have a kitchen located at the end of each inpatient hall. Complimentary coffee, an ice machine, refrigerator, and microwave are provided for families. Families on regular inpatient rooms are welcome to bring food and coolers from home, but are asked to label any food appropriately that is left in the refrigerator.

The Security department provides uniformed officer patrols throughout our campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The officers can assist with directions, escort you to your car and provide limited assistance with minor vehicle problems such as a dead battery or low tire. On-campus parking lots are equipped with emergency blue light phones to call for Security assistance. The emergency blue light phones are easily seen in the parking lots throughout the campus. To report any unusual or suspicious activity, please call Security at 469-303-2889 immediately.
Vending Machines
Vending machines are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor of the hospital as well as the cafeteria and the Emergency Department.

Self parking
Parking at Children's Medical Center Plano is free. Parking is available in two lots, one south of the Emergency department; the other west of Children's Specialty Center 1 Plano.
