Contact Children's Health
Your child will love to see friendly, familiar faces while in the hospital, and guests are welcome throughout the day, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Each patient is allowed up to four guests at one time. Parents and legal guardians are not considered visitors. They are an important part of their child’s care team and may visit at any time.
The best time for extended friends and family to visit is evenings, since patients are usually busy during the day with medical tests, procedures and visits from their doctors.
All family, friends and guests will be asked a series of screening questions upon arrival. If guests are found to be free of illness, badges will be issued to indicate that they have been screened.
Please wear this badge at all times when you are in the hospital.
Please do not visit the hospital if you are suffering from, or have been exposed to, contagious illnesses. To help you plan ahead, please do not visit if you have a fever of 100 degrees or higher, a cough that produces mucus; diarrhea or vomiting, or if you have been exposed to tuberculosis (TB), chicken pox, measles, mumps or rubella.
Exceptions may be made for patient’s parents and legal guardians. Please inquire about exceptions at the front desk when you arrive at Children’s.
To keep the campus secure, most of the entrances will be locked after visiting hours. Parents and legal guardians may still enter through three areas on the Dallas campus: the Tower D Lobby, which can be accessed from Green Park and the main valet entrance, the Blue Park skybridge entrance, or the Emergency Department entrance.
As the only academic health care facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18, Children’s Health℠ provides patient care ranging from simple eye exams to specialized treatment in areas such as heart disease, hematology-oncology and cystic fibrosis.
