Expert Specialty Care
Children's Health℠ has almost 250 Advanced Practice Nurses currently taking part in a number of specialty areas. Our service provides expertise in Critical Care, Cardiology, Hematology-Oncology, Emergency Services, Endocrinology, Otolaryngology, Surgical Services and Orthopedics. Over the last two years, our Advanced Practice Service team has grown by 35 percent, implementing the latest healthcare delivery models that specifically focus on improving outcomes for high-risk patients.
Children’s Health℠ also is a provider of continuing nursing education approved by the Texas Nurses Association, and a member facility of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. In doing so, we build on the leadership role that Children's Dallas has taken in the support, continued education and expanding use of advanced practice medical professionals, including nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners, midwives and physician assistants.
Advanced Practice Conferences
In the last eight years, Children's Health℠ Dallas has hosted Annual Advanced Practice Conferences, whose focus is continuing education for healthcare providers. These conferences enable medical professionals to keep abreast of recent innovations and to expand their knowledge of critical topics, such as disease processes specific to pediatric pulmonology, cardiology, dermatology, allergy, neurology and otolaryngology.
