Contact Nursing Services
Our nurses play a vital role in making Children's Medical Center one of the nation's premier pediatric hospitals. Children’s Medical Center carries the Magnet Program designation for nursing – the gold standard for nursing services.
Our nurses take a patient- and family-centered approach to caring for our patients. They also carry that professional service into the community where they volunteer locally, nationally and internationally. This philosophy creates the ideal environment to enhance the value of nursing.
Nurses can choose from a variety of professional development tracks, including clinical, education, research, informatics and management. Each track allows for flexibility within and across its boundaries so that nurses can pursue all the career opportunities the profession has to offer. These skills also feed into Children’s Shared Governance model, which boasts strong nursing representation at every level of the organization.
Awards and Honors
Our nurses also reflect their professionalism through their participation in leading-edge research that is changing the future of nursing.
Our nurses are consumers of research and producers of research. They read research articles, participate in journal clubs and share reports with their peers. They also produce nursing publications, display posters during national nursing conferences, publish findings, earn recognition and funding for their work, and give presentations at local, regional and national meetings.
