Miya Maysent serves as Senior Vice President of Talent Management at Children’s Health. In her role, Miya leads the development of a fully integrated talent management system bringing together talent acquisition and selection practices. Miya focuses on diversity and inclusion priorities and learning and development strategies to attract, develop and grow the careers of productive and engaged team members to help further the Children's Health mission to make life better for children.
Miya possesses extensive experience in diversity and inclusion as well as organizational development, most recently, serving as the Vice President of Talent Development, Diversity & Acquisition at J.C. Penney Inc., from 2014 to 2019. Prior to J.C. Penney, she led people and organizational development for 7-Eleven, following roles in talent management with Valero Energy, Personnel Decisions, Inc. and Drake Beam Morin.
Miya is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She also earned her master’s in Counseling Psychology and master’s in Organization Psychology from the University of North Texas.
