Rankings reaffirm Children’s Health℠ flagship as one of the leading pediatric hospitals in the nation
DALLAS (June 21, 2016) — Children’s Health℠, the leading pediatric health care system in North Texas, is proud to announce that Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the system’s flagship hospital, has been recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report for 2016-2017. Children’s Medical Center is the only hospital in North Texas ranked in all 10 pediatric specialties in the annual Best Children’s Hospitals report, which is based on patient treatment outcomes.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings assist patients in better assessing and deciding where they choose to receive care. With world-renowned pediatric physicians, innovative technology and an academic affiliation with UT Southwestern Medical Center, Children’s Health continues to garner national recognition as a system. Being identified among the best hospitals in the country is a testament to that recognition as Children’s Medical Center continues to care for more than 200,000 unique patients per year.

To create the pediatric rankings, U.S. News & World Report gathered key clinical data from approximately 180 pediatric centers through a detailed survey. In addition, part of each hospital's score is derived from surveys of more than 10,000 pediatric specialists who are asked where they would send the sickest children in their specialty.
