Vendors & Suppliers

At Children’s Health℠, we rely on vendors and suppliers to help us fulfill our mission to deliver consistent, exceptional care to the children of the region. To provide exemplary service, our staff depends on the best goods and services. And thanks to our success, our needs are considerable.

Last year, Children’s Health had the second-highest number of admissions of any pediatric hospital in the United States and the second-busiest pediatric emergency room department in the nation. The not-for-profit hospital system, with two full-service hospitals licensed for 595 beds and four outpatient centers, brings $1.6 billion to the regional economy. We employ more than 5,400 people and have more than 1,000 physicians on staff collaborating to provide care for pediatric conditions in 50 specialty programs. Our surgeons perform more than 26,500 operations annually.

We can’t offer these crucial therapeutic interventions or perform the groundbreaking, life-saving procedures that have driven our success without the materials and services you provide.

Our partnership with you, therefore, is an essential component of our strategy to improve the well-being of children and families in North Texas. That’s why we’re dedicated to doing everything we can to encourage and nurture beneficial, long-term, and mutually satisfying relationships with vendors and suppliers. In addition, we’re committed to supporting minority, women, and LGBT enterprises that reflect our diverse patient population and our work force, and we’re eager to contract with companies that share our culture while offering competitive pricing for the highest quality products and services.

Because our work depends on you, we want to make it as easy and as rewarding as possible for you to work with us.

We welcome your business and have developed vendor program policies that we hope will make it easier for you to do business with us. Designed with patient safety foremost in mind, these policies also aim to help ease compliance with increasingly complex regulatory issues and nurture a more positive and mutually rewarding partnership.

Vendor System FAQs

Vendor System FAQs

The vendor registration system has been implemented to collect, centralize, and credential vendor information. We believe this new process and system will protect both our organization and our business partners as we adapt to changes in federal compliance and billing regulations. Existing and potential vendors are required to register online so we can leverage the single, centralized system to enhance our vendor interactions. This vendor registration system will give your company and representatives exposure to our buyers; and allow us to maintain important information for our existing and potential vendors.

Why do we have to register?

You must register to become compliant with our vendor management policies. Your registration also allows us to better understand your company and maintain all contact and product information in a single directory. No longer will you need to coordinate with different buyers to maintain your information. All your company and representative information will be in a comprehensive database that all of our buyers can access when making purchasing decisions.

Participating in the registration process has several benefits for vendors.

  • You can meet corporate compliance requirements quickly to show true partnership and business transparency.
  • You will be alerted to new or updated corporate policy documents and the approaching expiration of certain documents.
  • Policy and compliance documents are exchanged electronically, simplifying the tedious and redundant paperwork that is often required to conduct business.
  • Management of all company, representative, product, and compliance information is made easy through a secure, private, web-based dashboard.
  • Participation in the vendor directory increases your company’s visibility to member organizations nationwide.

Is there a cost to register?

An annual fee for vendor registration is charged per company, not per representative. As such, only the first representative to register will be charged the fee. As many of your representatives as are needed may register for no additional cost. Each of your representatives may differentiate themselves by the products they sell and the territories they service.

What does the fee cover and why is it yearly?

This fee is used for:

  • Purchasing third-party data
  • Screening and credentialing
  • Storing compliance information and documentation
  • Performing analytics based on provided information
  • Notifying suppliers about training, policy changes, and compliance regulations, and monitoring and alerting company status throughout the year.

All of these features are included throughout the year and thereafter as you choose to have a relationship with our buyers.

How does the registration process work?

Registration involves the following steps.

Navigate to the vendor registration website.

  1. Enter your business information including business address, phone, federal employer identification number (federal tax ID), products sold, and acceptance of corporate company policies.
  2. Enter your credit card information and pay the fee.
  3. Receive the confirmation email and click on the link provided to continue registration.
  4. Select links on the Vendor Dashboard to provide additional required information. This includes sales representative information such as territory and references and additional business information such as the type and number of employees, the date the business was founded, company principles, geography, financials, insurance, and diversity.

Once you have completed all steps, your company and representative information will be available to the purchasing group.

Can I update my information after the initial registration?

Yes, in addition to providing the additional required information via the Vendor Dashboard, you may also add to or edit your profile at any time by logging into the registration system using your user ID and password.
