  • This Economic Impact Study was developed to measure the significant economic impact that Children’s Health has on the DFW region. The Economic Research Group (ERG) at the University of North Texas conducted the 2015 analysis using public financial and operational information from Children’s Health along with data about the overall economy.
  • Children’s has a lot to be proud of—for example, our $1.6 billion contribution to the regional economy, the distinction of having the second-busiest pediatric emergency department in the nation, and our growing list of honors and accolades.  We’re not bashful about telling you why we’re the only pediatric hospital in the region ranked by U.S. News & World Report in all specialties. Drawing on Experience. Defining our Future highlights our services, programs, and accomplishments in 2012/13. Read it and you’ll see how and why Children’s consistently fulfills its mission to make life better for kids.
  • Annual reports tell the story of Children’s past, present, and future—recalling our history, detailing our current achievements, and outlining our goals and strategies for the future.  The 2014 Annual Report (PDF) introduces you to some of Children’s youngest patients whose lives have been transformed by the caring and the expertise of our physicians.
  • Community reports detail Children’s commitment to the needs of the children of the region and the ways in which we serve the community and address those needs.
  • The 2013 Community Health Needs Assessment evaluates and prioritizes the health needs of the region’s families, and helps Children’s determine how to focus its resources into strategic and operational plans for meeting the most pressing needs.
  • Beyond ABC is an annual report that examines the quality of life of the region’s children. The 2013 report, Assessing Children's Health in Dallas County 2013 describes trends that will inform and direct Children’s strategies in the future.
  • The Community Health Implementation Strategy report details the hospital’s strategic response to needs that were identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment, and discusses the priority areas the hospital will tackle in its strategic and operational plans.
  • Community Benefits Report looks at the ways in which our achievements ripple outward to benefit the wider community, and how our efforts in these matters would not be possible without the philanthropic support of our community.
  • Economic and Fiscal Impact Report indicates the significant positive effect Children’s has upon the region’s economy. The report shows that Children’s annual impact of $1.6 billion on the local economy results from spending on construction, employment, the purchase of goods and services, state and local taxes, and visitor spending that supports regional jobs and services.
