Biography

LyTorre Vidaurri, M.D., MBA, is an anesthesiologist at Children’s Health℠ and an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Anesthesiology at UT Southwestern. She is board-certified in general and pediatric anesthesiology. 

Dr. Vidaurri earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her Residency in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center, followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center.   

Dr. Vidaurri enjoys providing perioperative care to children with a variety of health conditions. She has a specific interest in the development of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Protocols and anesthesia for ambulatory surgery. Currently, she serves as a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists Education Subcommittee on Ambulatory Anesthesia.  

Dr. Vidaurri is the Service Chief and Medical Director of Anesthesiology at the Children’s Medical Center Plano campus. She is highly involved in medical staff leadership, chairing and participating in multiple committees. She completed a 3-year term as President of the Medical/Dental Staff at the Plano campus.  

She is a member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, The American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists.  

In her free time, Dr. Vidaurri enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, biking, hiking and the arts.
