Biography

Jonathan Wickiser, M.D., is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at Children's Health℠ and a Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern. He specializes in caring for children with cancer, with a focus in solid tumors and rare tumors. He has a particular interest in pediatric kidney, liver, and gonadal tumors.   Dr. Wickiser also helps lead the pediatric cancer predisposition program.

Dr. Wickiser earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University and his medical degree from Texas Tech University. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Virginia and a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. 

Dr. Wickiser was named a Best Pediatric Specialist by D Magazine in 2016 and 2018-2023. In addition to treating patients, he participates in cancer research into the best treatments for liver and kidney tumors. 

When he is not working, Dr. Wickiser enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching soccer.
