Step 3: Register to attend a Information Session

Our Student volunteers are over 16 years of age and may be in high school or college. Students interested in participating in the school year volunteer program are required to attend an Information Session. After attending an Information Session, student will be invited to complete an application. A confirmation email will be sent to you upon registration with the time, date and location of the Information Session.

Students under 18 are encouraged to attend an Information Session with a parent or guardian. Students may register their parent or adult attending with them when they sign up to attend an Infromation Session. Each student intereseted in applying to the Volunteer program is required to register and attend an Information prior to applying to volunteer.

Please note that our volunteers provide services that are administrative and strictly comforting in nature and are not able to shadow nurses, doctors and clinicians, or to take vital signs and observe procedures.

Returning Students

If you were a student volunteer who met your 40-hour time commitment for the summer 2014 program you do not need to register for this information session; all other previous student volunteers must attend an information session and reapply to the program.

Each student must register to attend an information session in order to gain access to the applicaiton to volunteer. If a session that you would like to attend is full, please visit our website at a later date. Space is limited for each session. If space becomes available, you will be able to register online.
